Refined avocado oil is a rich, restorative and softening oil that is typically used as an additive alongside other carrier oils due to its high vitamin content. It can be added to other base oils up to 30% for added skin-softening and protective properties. Avocado oil is an excellent choice for mature, undernourished, dry or fragile skin. It is indicated for eczema, psoriasis and diaper rash and may also help nourish fragile skin that has been affected by sun damage. When used in massage blends, avocado oil may help to increase hydration in the upper layers of the skin and improve elasticity.
Avocado oil has a high sterol (10%) content that is valuable for arthritic pain. It may also be beneficial for post-menopausal skin that is prone to aging. Include it in preparations to restore nutrients in the skin for those living in low-sun conditions. As opposed to unrefined avocado oil which is a dark green in colour, refined avocado oil is yellow with less odour. It is acceptable for use in cosmetic preparations, but should not be ingested.

- Shelf Life & Storage

Users can expect a shelf life of up to 2 years with proper storage conditions. It is recommended that cold-pressed carrier oils be kept in a cool, dark place to maintain freshness and achieve maximum shelf life. Refrigeration after opening is recommended. If refrigerated, bring to room temperature before using.
