Spiced Energy Balls made with functional mushrooms from Harmonic Arts

  • 1 ½ cup dates (pitted and soaked in warm water)
  • ¾ cup raw cashews or walnuts (if using cashews soak in warm water)
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp hemp hearts
  • 2 tsp Harmonic Arts Concentrated Mushroom Powder of your choice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • ½ tsp salt of choice (we like using sea salt)
  • ¼ tsp ground clove powder
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • ¼ tsp ginger powder
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  1. Soak dates and cashews in warm water for 15 minutes while you prep the rest of the ingredients
  2. Add the coconut oil, chia seeds, hemp hearts, Harmonic Arts Concentrated Mushroom Powder, and spices to a small bowl
  3. Once dates and cashews have softened, add to food processor and pulse several times until large pieces form
  4. Add rolled oats and process for 30 seconds until a smooth “dough” forms. The mixture should start to smooth out and clump together.
  5. Add the remaining ingredients to the food processor and process for another 30 seconds. The mixture should be soft and slightly sticky. Try forming a ball with some of the mixture, it should hold its shape.
    • If the mixture is too dry, add a few more soaked dates
    • If the mixture is too wet and sticky, add a few more tablespoons of rolled oats
  6. Roll into desired size balls and put into airtight container to store in the fridge or freezer. These energy balls if stored correctly will store in fridge for about a month and in the freezer for three months.

Enjoy your delicious and functional sweet treats!
