One of the world's most ancient botanicals, Galbanum essential oil is extracted from a large perennial from the parsnip family. Galbanum has been heavily indicated for emotional use in aromatherapy, from helping us cope with emotional traumas to letting go of loss. It can also help gently re-balance erratic energies and nervous tension. It is used as an ingredient in skin care and may help heal scar tissue, fight signs of ageing, heal ulcers and minimize long-term inflammation. Galbanum has a decongestant action on most systems, be it genito-urinary, lymphatic or respiratory. It would be an excellent addition to any detoxifying essential oil blend.

Recommended Uses

Galbanum may be anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, calming, flatulence relieving, healing and anti-spasmodic. It is known to act as a nervine and may also assist in soothing acne, pimples, cuts and grazes, bronchitis, coughs and respiratory complications. It is useful in treating inflammation and muscular pain, rheumatoid arthritis, stress and nervous related conditions. Emotionally, galbanum is calming, stress relieving and may help relieve the mind of traumatic experiences.
