Introduction to Soy Candle Making

Join our #BossLady Jill for a fun and hands-on soy candle-making workshop! Learn the fundamentals of soy candle-making, and assemble and hand-pour your own vegan soy candles and tealights from scratch. By the end of class, you will have a working knowledge of soy candle making and be armed with the steps and skills to make more at home. This is a beginner-friendly workshop.

While this is not a fragrance mixology workshop (we want you to know all the step by steps of candle making instead!), you’ll be able to choose your own scent from our library of 10 candle-safe fragrance oil blends (courtesy of our friends at Windy Point Soap) for your project.

You will also receive a one-time coupon for 15% off post-class purchases at The Apothecary as well as a 10% off one-time coupon for Windy Point Soap (supplier of our classroom fragrance oils).

Candle Making

I thought candle making is just melting, mixing and pouring- simple and easy. Well it is, but lots of things to consider- calculating the wax and fragrance, how you stir the fragrance to your wax. I've learned a lot in this lesson and I had fun. Thank you Jill. I'm going to wait for the next lesson.

Great Class!

My partner and I traveled from Edmonton to take this class. Jill was very informative giving a more technical class, showing the proper methods to achieve a great product. This was refreshing because I felt like I was learning the building blocks to hopefully one day make many more candles. Anyone aspiring to start making candles for fun or to learn something new should take this class
