As one of the most stable and versatile oils, it’s easy to sing jojoba’s praises — it is said that jojoba can have a shelf life of up to 25 years! Technically not an oil, jojoba is actually a liquid wax ester pressed from the beans of a desert plant. Its array of esters prevent dryness and lipid per oxidation, two of the most important causes of premature aging of the skin. Jojoba is a versatile oil and an excellent choice for all skin types. It is non-greasy, keeps skin delightfully smooth and is a balancing oil. It is not only deeply penetrating and moisturizing to dry skin, but can also unclog pours in oily skin and restore the skin’s natural pH. Used in hair, it can help rejuvenate and promote growth while reducing oiliness on the scalp. Jojoba oil is suitable for use on the skin, hair and nails and may cleanse, condition and moisturize while preventing fungal infections.
