Lavender France Essential Oil (High Altitude)

Lavender is known as the mother of all oils and is a popular choice amongst many aromatherapists, both beginners and professionals. Its benefits are quite strong and diverse, but the oil itself is one of the gentlest to use. True lavender essential oil has several countries of origin. Its scent will vary depending on the country where the oil originates.

Here at The Apothecary, we have two true lavender essential oils — one from Bulgaria, and the other from France. Our Bulgarian lavender has a sweet, semi-floral scent with a honey-like note throughout. French lavender contains more herbal notes with a fresh undertone and is closer in scent to what many associate with true lavender. Despite the difference in fragrance, the therapeutic values of these two oils are nearly identical.

Recommended Uses

Lavender France may used as an analgesic, anti-inflammatory and anti-spasmodic oil. It is known to act as a calmative and may assist in healing cuts and grazes or treating bee/wasp stings. It is known to assist with symptoms of depression, stress related eczema, rashes, itching, burns, sunburn, muscular spasms, muscular contractions, abdominal cramps, headaches, migraines, insomnia, nervousness, stress related conditions, acne, pimples and insect bites.

Lavender France is a middle/top note. It is fresh, sweet, herbaceous and sharp in scent.

Blends well with angelica, bergamot, cardamom, cedarwood atlas, cedarwood Texas, chamomile, cistus absolute, citronella, clary sage, clove bud, coriander, cypress, fir balsam, frankincense, galbanum, geranium, helichrysum, jasmine, juniper berry, laurel, lavandin, lemon, lime, mandarin, marjoram, neroli, nutmeg, oakmoss, orange sweet, palmarosa, patchouli, peppermint, pine scotch, rose absolute, rose otto, rosemary, sandalwood, spearmint, thyme, vetiver and ylang ylang.
