Are you interested in discussing sustainability, wellness, and knowledge, and to foster a community full of curiosity, while honouring and respecting Indigenous communities and the place we call home, Mohkinstsis? Well then, welcome to The Apothecary book club! In this club, we will be exploring some of the most loved books from our shoppe, featuring writers like Michelle Schoffro Cook, Robin Wall Kimmerer, and Rosemary Gladstar.
Open a book from our shelf, pour a cup of tea, and join us in our cozy upstairs classroom in a guided discussion of each book. This is where you can ask questions and support each other on this beautiful learning journey.
What Makes Our Book Club Different?
Not only will be discussing and learning about the books themselves, but we will also have the opportunity to share our recipes, ideas and innovations. The Apothecary’s Book Club is using not only the book, but interactive and tactile tools, like herbs and smells to further your learning experience.

- What you can expect
-
We would like to invite you to join The Apothecary in Inglewood’s Book Club where new experiences will be gained by getting intimate with our books (and our teas, if you’d like a cup!). It's not often we get a chance to sit without distractions in this busy world of ours.
We hope this space can be a place of rest and inspiration, as we share our stories and indulge in little meaningful experiences together.
With the abundance of information, instructions, and recipes available to us, let's dive deep into the books and enjoy ourselves.
Note: Because of some of the hands-on participatory aspect of the book club, please let us know if you have any allergies or sensitivities through our email and we will adjust to your needs accordingly.
Can’t wait to see you at the book club, friend.
- Book club "Rules"
-
- Treat everyone with respect and compassion
- This is a guilt-free book club! While we encourage everyone to read the book fully, the discussion will be on specific parts of the book per meeting, and it is not required that you read the book in its entirety, as there is opportunity to listen and learn together
- We appreciate any kind of participation. Your presence and input are valuable!
- Please note that while the book club is a place to share information, the information shared in the book club does not substitute any advice provided by trained specialists including but not limited to doctors, herbalist, or other healthcare professionals
