Borax, also called sodium tetraborate, is a powdery white mineral that has been used as a cleaning product for several decades. It can be used to help get rid of stains, mold, and mildew around the house, kill insects such as ants, whiten and get rid of dirt in laundry detergent and household cleaners, neutralize odors and soften hard water.

Safety

Generally, borax has been found as safe to use as a cleaning product if you take the appropriate precautions. Using borax safely involves minimizing your routes of exposure. To use borax safely, follow these guidelines:

Avoid inhaling borax powder by always keeping it a safe distance from your mouthUse gloves when using borax as a cleaning agent around the houseFully rinse the area you’re cleaning with water after washing with boraxWash your hands with soap after using borax if it gets on your skinMake sure clothes washed with borax are fully rinsed before drying and wearing themNever leave borax in the reach of children, whether it’s in a box or used around the house. Don’t use borax to make slime with kidsAvoid using borax and boric acid products around pets. This includes avoiding use of borax as a pesticide on the ground, where pets may be commonly exposedKeep borax away from your eyes, nose, and mouth to minimize your risks of exposure when using as a cleaning productCover any open wounds on your hands when using borax. Borax is more easily absorbed through open wounds on the skin, so keeping them covered can reduce your risk of exposure.

Packaging Options

All of our refillable products have packaging options associated with them:

• DRY GOODS are packaged in a recyclable paper bag or a returnable mason jar (deposit required) for pick up orders, and a paper or high quality resealable bag (great for reuse) for shipping orders
• LIQUIDS are packaged in a returnable mason jar (deposit required)

How Pick Up and Delivery Works

PICK UP

1. Order your refill in the increments available and choose your packaging.
2. Select local pickup at checkout + we will contact you when your order is ready.
3. Deposit Jars: When you're all finished with your refills, drop off your clean + empty deposit jars at the store and we will credit you back your deposit to your online account.

DELIVERY

1. Order your refill in the increments available and select your packaging.
2. Select delivery at checkout.
3. We'll fill your product into the correct size Mason jar, tag it and add it to your delivery order.
4. When you're all finished and need a refill, drop off your clean empties at the store or we'll pick them up on our next delivery and credit you back your deposit.
