This oil has a sweet, herb-like scent that is similar to that of types of Rosemary and Eucalyptus. It is commonly used to help fight off colds and flu, as well as to ease muscular stiffness and tension. Other remedial uses range from easing respiratory issues, reducing symptoms associated with PMS & menopause, as well as soothing some digestive complaints. Cajeput (kayu-puti), which means “white wood” in Indonesian, originates from the Malayan coastal plains and can be found in abundance in southeast regions of Asia and northern Australia.

Scent Profile

Cajeput is a top note. It is fresh, penetrating, camphorous, medicinal and similar to eucalyptus.

Blending

Blends well with camphor, clary sage, eucalyptus, geranium, lavender, marjoram, pine and rosemary.

Contraindications / Safety

May irritate mucus membranes if used undiluted. Use caution during pregnancy.
