Recommended Uses

Juniper berry may be used as an analgesic and anti-inflammatory oil. It may be used as a diuretic and nervine, and can help with fluid retention, abdominal bloating, menstrual cramps, heavy legs, arthritis, rheumatism, acne, eczema and detoxing. Emotionally, juniper berry can assist with anxiety, nervous tension and mental exhaustion.

This oil may be used to address common issues such as acne, dermatitis, blocked pores, weeping eczema, varicose veins and hair loss. It can also assist with those suffering from arthritis, rheumatism, and general muscular aches and pains. Under proper direction, juniper may even be used to address afflictions such as wounds, abscesses, genital warts, ulcers, cystitis, gout and sciatica. Energetically, this oil has been used to clear negative energy from enclosed/confined spaces, protect against antagonistic influences and erase energetic blockage.

Scent Profile

Juniper berry is a top note. It is dry, fresh and contains the scent of bark, similar to sprigs of cypress.

Blends well with angelica, balsam of peru, basil, bergamot, cardamom, cedarwood, chamomile, cinnamon, cistus absolute, clary sage, copaiba balsam, cypress, fir balsam, frankincense, galbanum, geranium, grapefruit, helichrysum, lavandin, lavender, mandarin, myrrh, nutmeg, oakmoss, patchouli, pine scotch, rose otto, rosemary, sandalwood, black spruce and vetiver.

Contraindications / Safety

Use caution during pregnancy but avoid use during the first trimester. Avoid if suffering from kidney disease, or acute kidney/bladder infections. Use low amounts on delicate or damaged skin. Long term use not recommended.
